To provide understanding of and access to Computer Technologies
to allow older citizens to share their knowledge and wisdom with others.

General Information

What are we?

A facility for the promotion of Personal Computing Understanding among older adults of the community.  We are known simply as The Computer Learning Center (CLC).

The only requirement for membership is a desire to enhance your Computing Skills.
 

Who are we?

The CLC is operated by volunteers.  Our leaders are chosen not to govern but to serve.  They are dedicated volunteers who gain satisfaction from helping others.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION

Priority is given to persons who are at least 60 years of age.  Persons under 60 years of age may take classes if there is a vacancy in the class and if there are no seniors on the waiting list.  Any person who uses the laboratory facilities is required to have a current laboratory membership in the CLC.  Laboratory fees are $30 a year.

Each 16 hour course has a $30 enrollment fee (tuition) which includes a Course CD or Web Site provided material for practice.
There is one text reference which can be purchased in most book stores, it is "Windows XP illustrated" published by maranGraphics & Thomson .  This book may be purchased at registration at a reduced price.
